I have always thought (though this year slightly more bitter than others) that Valentines day is the worlds biggest joke.
It is my opinion that should one be in a relationship, they should do special things for each other all the time, not just on the one day of the year when society makes them feel they have to.
It's pretty ridiculous that people go all out and buy each other expensive presents and fancy dinners.
Last year was the greatest Valentines day I have endured and I simply went on a picnic with a friend of choice, flew a kite and consumed some truly horrible egg sandwiches (made by me.. at least I tried).
